The mixed choir "Daugava" of Daugavpils Latvian Centre of Culture was founded in 1956, by Stanislavs Broks. Since 1996 the conductor of the choir is Jevgegijs Ustinskovs. The participants of the choir are young people of the Daugavpils Music College and the Daugavpils Pedagogic University. The choir repeatedly perfomed in cities and towns of Latvia, Russia, Estonia, the Ukraine,Byelorussia, France, Hungary and Germany,
the choir was awarded in several choir competitions in Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary.
In 2000 the choir took part in the Choir Festival in Germany (BINZ), it won lst prize in the IInternational Choir Competition in Daugavpils (Latvia),choir was awarded Grand Prix in the competition of the IV International Choir Festival in Vilnius Mithuania).
